How secure are digital locks?
It’s important to take your security seriously, after all it isn’t just your prized possessions and personal belongings that are at risk, it’s yourself and your family. For peace of mind, our digital locks from Ultion Nuki feature a 3 star plus cylinder, with all technological communication of being protected with state of the art, end to end encryption commonly used in online banking.
It’s also regularly inspected and certified by independent security institutes and achieves the highest AV- TEST available, which is level 3. Our locking system also carries a £2000 guarantee and hasn’t failed any security standards yet.
What happens if there is a power cut or if the WIFI goes down?
Don’t worry, you will never be locked out, or in with our digital locks. As they use Bluetooth and are battery powered, you will still be able to control your door using your phone, wireless keypad, fob or even your key. Only remote connections that rely on the internet and power will be affected. If you want to know more about this, contact our friendly team who will be happy to assist you.
Is there a risk that anyone can ask Alexa to open my door?
During the Alexa/ Google Home setup you will be prompted to set up a passcode, so whenever an unlock request is made, Alexa will ask for the passcode. This code isn’t required when you go to lock the door.
I run an Airbnb, are digital locks suitable?
Yes. Our digital locks are a great addition to any Airbnb as they can be seamlessly integrated with any Airbnb app. Your guests will receive a digital access code automatically and this will expire at the end of their stay.
Can the locks be manually operated too?
Our digital locks will always have the option to be operated manually through the use of a physical, high security key or the manual thumb turn.
